FLEXMAN, WALTER EDWARD (242568)

He was the aerial gunner to Lt W J Rivett-Carnac, in DH9, C6267 of No 104 Sqn on a raid against Hagondange.  They were attacked over the target and the pilot was wounded in the foot and Flexman was hit in the lung.  The pilot was able to get the aircraft down on the  Allied side of the lines but Flexman had already died of his wounds.  He is buried in Charmes Military Cemetery, Essegney.
