He represented the RAF College at Soccer, Athletics, Fencing, Hockey, attained the rank of Under Officer and was awarded Sword of Honour on graduation.
Having completed the first Victor Conversion Course, he flew XA923 to Wyton to join the Radar Reconnaissance Flight, which became the first operational Victor unit.
Since leaving the RAF he became an Aviation and Security Consultant.
