His service records end in 1928 with an admission to Stamford Hospital without recording his posting to Iraq.

6 Apr	Sgt	MARTIN, JOHN	He died from injuries sustained whilst flying in Grebe IIDC, J7519 of No 23 Sqn, which bounced and overturned on landing at Farnborough. The pilot Flt Lt R L R Atcherley was slightly injured.
10 Apr	Fg Off	WILSON, ERNEST LEONARD	He died from injuries sustained earlier in the day whilst flying Grebe IIIDC, J7530 of the Armament and Gunnery School, which spun into the ground at Eastchurch. His passenger, Tel J R Armison RN was also killed.
14 Apr	Fg Off	GLOVER, HAROLD EDWARD LDS	He was a Dental Officer stationed at the RAF Depot, Uxbridge but was found dead at RAF Upper Heyford, cause currently unknown.

17 May	AC1	WILTSHIRE, CHARLES SAMUEL	When his pilot, Fg Off Stroud, was killed flying an unidentified Wapiti IIA of No 11 Sqn, having been hit by ground fire on a bombing raid, he flew the aircraft back to the airfield at Risalpur but was killed in the crash which resulted on landing.

They were possibly rehearsing for a mock dogfight for the RAF Display. O’Meara’s passenger, LAC William Hagan, was uninjured.

10 Jul	AC1	ARMSTRONG, DONALD DOUGLAS	He was serving as a Fitter at RAF North Coates Fitties when he was killed in a car accident near Grimsby. The car he was travelling in suffered a burst tyre, hit the kerb and overturned, killing him. He is buried in North Coates (St Nicholas) Churchyard.

18 Aug	Plt Off	WOODLAND, JOHN DOUGLAS	He was undergoing pilot training at No 5 FTS at Sealand when he was killed in a road accident near Chester. He was returning to the aerodrome from Chester, on his motor-cycle with Plt Off Jack Satchell, on pillion. They crashed into a pedal cyclist, flinging them into the road, where another motor cyclist came along and crashed into him.

3 Sep	LAC	COOPER, JAMES	He was killed whilst flying in Wapiti, J9489 of No 30 Sqn which collided with J9623 of the same unit at 4,000 ft near Aqra in Iraq. He is buried in Ma'asker Al Raschid R.A.F. Cemetery.

19 Sep	Plt Off	THOMPSON, MALCOLM STEWART	He was undergoing pilot training at No 3 FTS when he died from injuries sustained in a motor cycle accident at Molesey, Surrey.
20 Sep	Flt Sgt	HUTCHINSON, ALBERT	He disappeared from a motor boat in rough seas whilst making the crossing from Plymouth to Mount Batten, but his disappearance was not discovered until the boat reached Mount Batten.
25 Sep	Plt Off	SANT, ALFRED CECIL	He had been undertaking a cross-country navigation exercise (possibly Bristol F2B, J8458) from No 2 FTS at Digby to RAF Upper Heyford and back on 22 Sep 1930, when he strayed off course and then suffered engine trouble which resulted in him stalling and diving into the ground at Treeton near Rotherham. He was severely injured and died three days later.

7 Oct	Cpl	KNIGHT, LESLIE ARTHUR	He was killed whilst flying in Fairey IIIF, S1324 of 448 Flt, HMS Eagle being flown by Flt Lt H H Down. Their aircraft was hit by S1371, which landed safely, but Cpl Knight was thrown out and fell into the sea.
12 Oct	AC1	MINNS, WILLIAM HENRY DACK	He was killed at Martlesham Heath, in Vickers Type 150 Vanax, J9131 being tested by No 22 Sqn, which suffered a double engine failure on take off.
12 Oct	Flt Lt	BURD, JOHN MARSH MC	He was serving with No 30 Sqn when he died suddenly, cause unknown, in the British General Hospital, Hinaidi, Iraq and is buried in Ma'asker Al Raschid RAF Cemetery.
13 Oct	Fg Off	NESBIT, CHARLES HENRY FLETCHER RAFO	He was killed, along with two others, whilst flying de Havilland DH80A Puss Moth, VH-UPC registered to Wings Ltd., Perth, WA, which crashed at Chidlow Hills, Darling Ranges, Western Australia.
15 Oct	Fg Off	COWIN, MAURICE THOMAS (Lt RN)	He was killed flying Blackburn Ripon, S1365 of No 461 Flt. He was diving in formation with another aircraft but when it pulled out of the dive at 300 400 ft, S1365 did not and dived into the ground. His crewman, LAC E G Barker was thrown out but he did not have sufficient height to deploy his parachute.
15 Oct	LAC	BARKER, EDWARD GEORGE	He was killed whilst flying in Ripon S1365 of No 461 (Fleet Torpedo Bomber) Flight, when he was thrown out the aircraft as it pulled out of a dive at Hal Far, Malta. Despite having a parachute he was too low for it to fully deploy and he is buried in Imtarfa Military Cemetery.
15 Oct	Flt Lt	BLOMFIELD, JAMES STANLEY	He was killed whilst flying Avro 504N, K1059 of No 3 FTS which spun into the ground near Grantham. His passenger/student, AC2 C Williamson was also killed.
15 Oct	AC2	WILLIAMSON, CYRIL	He was killed whilst flying Avro 504N, K1059 of No 3 FTS, piloted by Flt Lt J S Blomfield, who was also killed, which spun into the ground near Grantham.
16 Oct	Flt Cdt	FAWKES, ERNEST HAMLEY	He was killed whilst flying Atlas, K1186 of RAF College, Cranwell, which stalled, half rolled and dived into the ground from about 500 ft at Cranwell.
18 Oct	Flt Lt	WORSLEY, OSWALD EWART	He died in King Edward VII Hospital, Windsor from injuries sustained in a motor car accident near Slough and at the time of his death he was a flight commander with No 29 Sqn.
20 Oct	Flt Lt	REID, EDWARD DOUGLAS WHITEHEAD MB, AAF	A member of No 601 (County of London) Sqn, he died from injuries sustained whilst flying Westland Widgeon II, G-EBJT, which hit a tree when landing, his passenger, Miss Irene Burnside was killed outright.
22 Oct	Plt Off	WHITTOME, THOMAS EUSTACE	He was killed whilst flying De Havilland DH60 Moth, G-EBPR belonging to National Flying Services, Hanworth, which spun into the ground at Boddington Hill, Wendover. He was off duty at the time.
24 Oct	Cpl	ROGERSON, ROBERT	He was serving as a Hospital Cook at the General Hospital, Basra, when he died cause unknown and is buried in Basra (Makina) RAF Cemetery.

4 Nov	Fg Off	BARNETT, MAX IAN	He was killed whilst flying Siskin IIIA, J9907 of No 56 Sqn, which lost its wings and crashed at Little Wood, Barnes Farm, Fryerning, Ingatestone, Essex.

19 Nov	Plt Off	CHANCE, JOHN ANTHONY	He was killed whilst flying an unidentified Atlas of No 26 Sqn, which crashed at Catterick. His crewman, Sgt A Maitland was seriously injured.
20 Nov	Flt Lt	BURKE, EDWARD JOSEPH AUGUSTINE RAFO	He employed by the Airland Manufacturing Company of Vancouver and having flown a prospector to Liard Post was returning with him and his mechanic to Atlin, when they were forced to alight on the River Liard, but a float was holed and they had to abandon the aircraft. After days waiting to see if they would be rescused they finally set off on foot through the snow but they gradually got weaker. Eventually 'Paddy' Burke became so weak that despite shooting a caribou, he was too weak and died on 20 November 1930. The other two, refreshed by the caribou meat finally reached safety.

15 Dec	Fg Off	ASHWANDEN, CECIL KENNETH (Lt RN)	He was undergoing training at RAF Base Leuchars and died in Newcastle Infirmary from injuries sustained in a motor accident near Otterburn, Northumberland, whilst returning home on Christmas leave from Leuchars, when his car crashed into a telegraph pole.
19 Dec	LAC	COKER, CECIL HARRY	He was serving as a Fitter (Aero Engine) at the Air Depot, Iraq when he died in the RAF Hospital, Hinaidi following a short illness and is buried in Ma'asker Al Raschid RAF Cemetery.
26 Dec	Fg Off	HANLON, CHARLES PETER	He died from injuries sustained on 3 September 1930 whilst flying Wapiti, J9489 of No 30 Sqn which collided with J9623 of the same unit at 4,000 ft near Aqra in Iraq. in Iraq. He is buried in Ma'asker Al Raschid RAF Cemetery.
