They crashed into a pedal cyclist, flinging them into the road, where another motor cyclist came along and crashed into him.

He had been undertaking a cross-country navigation exercise (possibly Bristol F2B, J8458) from No 2 FTS at Digby to RAF Upper Heyford and back on 22 Sep 1930, when he strayed off course and then suffered engine trouble which resulted in him stalling and diving into the ground at Treeton near Rotherham.  He was severely injured and died three days later.

He was killed flying Blackburn Ripon, S1365 of No 461 Flt.  He was diving in formation with another aircraft but when it pulled out of the dive at 300 400 ft, S1365 did not and dived into the ground.  His crewman, LAC E G Barker was thrown out but he did not have sufficient height to deploy his parachute.

He was killed whilst flying in Ripon S1365 of No 461 (Fleet Torpedo Bomber) Flight, when he was thrown out the aircraft as it pulled out of a dive at Hal Far, Malta.  Despite having a parachute he was too low for it to fully deploy and he is buried in Imtarfa Military Cemetery.

He employed by the Airland Manufacturing Company of Vancouver and having flown a prospector to Liard Post was returning with him and his mechanic to Atlin, when they were forced to alight on the River Liard, but a float was holed and they had to abandon the aircraft.  After days waiting to see if they would be rescused they finally set off on foot through the snow but they gradually got weaker.  Eventually 'Paddy' Burke became so weak that despite shooting a caribou, he was too weak and died on 20 November 1930.  The other two, refreshed by the caribou meat finally reached safety.

He was undergoing training at RAF Base Leuchars and died in Newcastle Infirmary from injuries sustained in a motor accident near Otterburn, Northumberland, whilst returning home on Christmas leave from Leuchars, when his car crashed into a telegraph pole.

COKER, CECIL HARRY

He was serving as a Fitter (Aero Engine) at the Air Depot, Iraq when he died in the RAF Hospital, Hinaidi following a short illness and is buried in Ma'asker Al Raschid RAF Cemetery.

HANLON, CHARLES PETER

He died from injuries sustained on 3 September 1930 whilst flying Wapiti, J9489 of No 30 Sqn which collided with J9623 of the same unit at 4,000 ft near Aqra in Iraq. in Iraq.  He is buried in Ma'asker Al Raschid RAF Cemetery.
