He was killed in a flying accident south-west of Khartoum whilst flying Fairey IIIF, S1206 of No 47 Sqn. His passengers, Capt. James Charles Doyle of the Aeronautical Inspection Directorate and Sgt C L Long, were also killed. He is buried in Khartoum War Cemetery. |
