RAF Casualties 1919 - B


The fatal casualties listed below are those shown on the Commonwealth War Graves Register as having died due to World War One, however they can be divided into two distinct groups.

The first group are those who were still on active service at the time of their death and the second those who had been demobilised but whose death was attributed to their war service.

Middle East and was killed whilst flying in Bristol F2B, C4728 of No 111 Sqn, which side-slipped into a spin from a steep turn at low level following an engine failure.  He died on the way to hospital and was buried with full military honours in Ramleh War Cemetery.
