NEIGHBOUR, WALTER HERBERT (217338)

He was the observer to 2 Lt N N Wardlow in DH9A, E8420 of No 110 Sqn on a raid against targets in Frankfurt. After dropping their bombs, the formation was attacked by large numbers of fighters and Neighbour was hit and died, although his pilot was able to make back to their airfield.  He is buried in Charmes Military Cemetery, Essegney.
