He was the observer to 2 Lt T M Ritchie in DH9, C6149 of No 99 Sqn on a raid against Saarbrucken.  They were attacked before reaching their target and brought down, Ritchie managed to crash land and was captured by Stagg had been killed in the preceding action.  He is buried in Sarralbe Military Cemetery.

He was killed whilst flying Caudron GIII, 6265 of No 212 Training Depot Station, which collided with another aircraft during take off and is buried in Vendome Town Cemetery.

He was killed whilst serving with No 51 Training Depot Station when he was struck by the propeller of Avro 504, D7057 and is buried in Leeds (Hunslet Old) Cemetery.

WOOLLEY, FREDERICK WILLIAM

He was the observer to Lt L V Dennis in DH9, D1032 of No 99 Sqn on a raid against railway targets at Saarbrucken. They were attacked by enemy fighters on the return journey, their aircraft being seen to break up in the air.  He is buried in Sarralbe Military Cemetery.
