Citation for the award of the Distinguished Flying Cross

"JACKSON, John Arthur George, A/F/L (122763, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve) - No.66 Squadron.

Flight Lieutenant Jackson has been engaged in operational flying since April 1942.  From August 1943 he has been in command of a flight, proving himself to be a capable and fearless leader. Under his leadership his flight has destroyed at least six enemy aircraft, he himself being responsible for the destruction of one."
