Regional Air Liaison Officer. His father was a Lieutenant and Quartermaster in the 2nd Leinster Regiment. As a Midshipman, he was involved in the search for the Konigsburg in late 1914. He rescued the flying boat of Flight Sub-Lieutenant H D Cutler which had been forced down through engine trouble resulting in Cutler's capture by the Germans.
