She had been serving as a waitress at RAF Riccall but had been medically discharged in April 1944 after she was injured when she was struck by a van.  She died in the Mid Glamorgan Hospital, Bridgend from exhaustion caused by trophic ulcers.  She is buried in Llanharan and Peterston-super-Montem Joint Cemetery.
