He was serving with No 526 AMES, and was killed in a level crossing accident whilst travelling in convoy 40 miles north of Tripoli.  He is buried in Tripoli (Victoria) Naval Cemetery.

He was killed whilst flying in Wellington  X, HE747  of No 6 (C) OTU, which crashed in an attempted forced landing at Blitherless, Silloth, Cumberland following a double engine failure during a training flight.  He is buried in Silloth (Causewayhead) Cemetery, Holme Low

He was serving with No 3 Air Crew Reception Centre and was killed by an incendiary bomb in an air raid at Regent's Park.  He is buried in Lambeth Cemetery.
