He was serving with No 161 MU and was travelling in a 3 ton lorry fully loaded with jars of sulphuric acid, having 'hitched' a ride. The lorry was involved in an accident near Asluj and the jars were all smashed in the impact, deluging him in sulphuric acid.  Transported to No 91 General Hospital, he was alive on arrival but died two hours later.  He is buried in Gaza War Cemetery.

He was serving with No 22 PTC and was travelling in a 3 ton lorry fully loaded with jars of sulphuric acid, having 'hitched' a ride. The lorry was involved in an accident near Asluj and the jars were all smashed in the impact, deluging him in sulphuric acid.  Transported to No 91 General Hospital he died before he arrived.  He is buried in Gaza War Cemetery.
