In the list below some non-commissioned personnel are shown with two ranks, the first is generally that shown in the CWGC Register whilst the one in brackets is that shown on their records or what it should have become on 1 January 1919 when the RAF introduced a new rank/classification structure for non-commissioned personnel.  Where only one rank is shown this appears on both the CWGC register and the service records.

He was serving on board HMS Pegasus but detached to HMS Glowworm and was killed whilst the ship's company was fighting a fire on a barge containing ammunition, which exploded, he is buried in Archangel Allied Cemetery.

He died in the Military Hospital at York from broncho-pneumonia whilst serving as a Fitter (General) with No 2 Fighting School and is buried in Manchester (Philips Park) Cemetery.  At the time of his death he was serving a detention sentence (84 days) for desertion (AWOL).

He died in Palace Green Hospital from burns sustained on 18 Oct 1918 when the DH9 of No 4 Communication Sqn he was flying in crashed following a spin from 20,000 ft near Boulogne.  Thrown clear on impact he received his burns whilst attempting to rescue the pilot and is buried in Hampstead Cemetery.

He had briefly served as a Camel pilot with No 3 Sqn but was attached to No 4 Sqn from No 2 Cadet Wing when he died in Shorncliffe Military Hospital from influenza and heart failure and is buried in Shorncliffe Military Cemetery.
