In the list below some non-commissioned personnel are shown with two ranks, the first is generally that shown in the CWGC Register whilst the one in brackets is that shown on their records or what it should have become on 1 January 1919 when the RAF introduced a new rank/classification structure for non-commissioned personnel.  Where only one rank is shown this appears on both the CWGC register and the service records.

He died on the War Hospital, Edmonton, cause unknown, prior to which he had been serving as a Clerk (General) with No 103 Sqn and was cremated at Golders Green Crematorium.

He was killed whilst flying Snipe, E6157 of No 30 Training Sqn (Northolt), which caught fire in the air.  In protecting his face, he lost control and the aircraft entered a loop resulting in him being thrown out and is buried in Ruislip (St Martin) Churchyard Extension.

He had been transferred to the Unemployed List when he died at 'Cross Trees', Sutton Courtney from pneumonia and cardiac failure ans is buried in Richmond Cemetery, Surrey.  Prior to discharge he had been a Technical Officer at No 3 Stores Depot.
