Supplementary water carrier to support foam type fire-crash vehicles
by rapid transfer of water to the fire truck. Also may be used
as a foam-crash truck under emergency conditions. The vehicle
is also equipped for domestic fire-fighting. The vehicle
carries 700 gallons water and 35 gallons of foam compound. The
truck 16A/2378 has a foam/water monitor fitted to the cab roof.
The monitor is operated by controls fitted in the cab on the
bulkhead and is designed to deliver a high-pressure jet of foam or
water. A screen is fitted which can be raised in front of the
windscreen to give the operator and crew protection from light
fragmentation. |
