one passenger. A combined 300 gallon water and 25 gallon compound tank connected to Ellehammer foam making pump. The foam pump, which is mounted at the rear and driven by a power take-off is capable of pumping 1,000 gallons per minute. The pump supplies four 65 ft lengths of hose, each terminating in a spreader nozzle. Four 60 lb CO2 gas cylinders are carried on the tank, together with two 60 ft lengths of high pressure delivery hose. A heating compartment is fitted over the tank. |

Body - Equipment mounted on sub-frame. Cab - Open type with folding canopy, seats for driver and one passenger. Equipment - Compartmented tank for 300 gallons of water and 100 gallons of foam compound. Centrifugal foam pump driven by a Ford V-8, 30 hp engine. Three monitor type branch pipes and a manually operated elevating ladder. A 20 ft length of 3 in diameter suction hose. Foam compound and water is piped to the foam pump which is fitted at the rear of the chassis. The pump engine is mounted amidships. The foam pump delivery connects with the three monitors, one of which is mounted at the top of the elevating ladder. Capacity of pump engine fuel tank - 4½ gallons. Other equipment includes - microphone and loudspeaker, two lockers at rear of the chassis for the stowage of hose, immersion heaters in the prime mover and pump engine radiator, fire bell, searchlight and fog lamp. The running boards are extended at each side to carry a crew of five men. |
