Body - GS load carrying body fitted with detachable
hoops and canvas tilt. Cab - All enclosed, all weather type of wood and steel construction, flexible 3 point mounting, Forward control seating two. Winch (if fitted) - Gar Wood Model 4 MB, mounted in rear of cab and driven through chain and 34.1 to 1 ration worm and wheel from PTO at main gearbox. The winch carries 300 ft of ¾ in diameter cable. The drive is transmitted from the chain sprocket to the worm shaft through a shear pin which is designed to transmit power only within the limits of the predetermined capacity of the winch and so to prevent overloading of the PTO and the chassis frame. A band brake is fitted on the drum flange for controlling light loads, an automatic brake on the worm shaft prevents the load from over-running the worm gearing when the PTO is in neutral or after the shear pin has failed.
