No 325 Wing Personnel, units and locations
This was formed at Wilmslow on 14 September 1942 as No 325 (Naval Co-operation) Wing for service in North Africa, setting up a mobile wing HQ at Maison Blanche on 22 November. On 7 December, the UK party disembarked at Philippeville in No 242 Group, with an element at Djidjelli. It initially comprised Nos 32, 87, 153, 232, 241, 243 and 600 Squadrons, moving to Setif on 10 January 1943. No 255 Squadron was taken over from No 324 Wing on 15 February, with the Wing being taken over by Northwest African Coastal Air Force three days later, now with Nos 153, 255 and 600 Squadrons as well as Nos 820 and 826 RN Squadrons at Bone. On 5 June it was transferred to Northwest African Tactical Air Force and disbanded as No 325 (Night Fighter) Wing on 30 June 1943.

It reformed at Bo Rizzo on 25 August 1943 as No 325 (General Reconnaissance) Wing in Northwest African Air Forces, with an Operations Room at Naples. Initially it controlled No 614 Squadron but on 3 - 4 September it took over No 603 and 608 Squadrons and on 1 November was transferred from Northwest African Coastal Air Force to AHQ Malta, taking over No 52 Squadron at the same time, but this unit departed on 20 February 1944. On 5 March the Main party disembarked at Naples, moving to Montecorvino the following day, where it took over No 69 Squadron, which left on 10 April. By June 1944 it was under the control of the 62nd Wing USAAF and on 18 June it moved to Pomigliano, where it disbanded on 12 August 1944 with RAF Pomigliano being formed in its place.

It reformed at Kinloss on 1 April 2006 as No 325 Expeditionary Air Wing (Maritime Patrol and Surveillance) but disbanded in 2013 following the withdrawal of the Nimrod and the closure of RAF Kinloss.
