Production of aircraft, aero-engines, armament, instruments, balloons, mechanical transport, marine craft, ground equipment and accessories, raw materials.
Administration of Air Ministry factories, labour supply.
Control of import and export trade in aeronautical material (in conjunction with CAS, AMSO and other government departments.

Inspection of 'civil' type aircraft of the larger class (over 10.000 lbs, etc) and of modifications thereto.
Supervision of maintenance and servicing of RAF aircraft at civil training schools in Reserve Command.
Training and administration (in conjunction with S2, S3, T Tech, etc) of the personnel of the Aeronautical Inspection Department, including attached RAF officers and airmen.
